One of the few good things about the realignment of some of the teams in districts throughout public-school leagues in Northern Virginia, is the Madison Warhawks and Oakton Cougars now get to meet during the regular season one or two times in every high school sport.

In the past, the Vienna rivals met just once in sports like basketball, baseball and softball, but that wasn't enough. One game between the rivals left fans wanting more, because the competition is often top-notch in any sport.

Now there will be those rematches, including the upcoming basketball games.

We'll see what happens.
