NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO PERMIT RESIDENTIAL USE, EXCEED THE HEIGHT RESTRICTION AND
WAIVE THE SETBACK REQUIRMENT
IN THE B-1 ZONING DISTRICT
BY SPECIAL USE PERMIT, 401-411 MILL STREET
OCCOQUAN, VA 22125
SEPTEMBER 24, 2019 - 6:30 P.M.
Notice is hereby given that the Occoquan Planning Commission will conduct
a public hearing to permit residential use, exceed the height restriction, and
waive the setback requirement in the B-1 zoning district by Special Use Permit,
401-411 Mill Street, Occoquan, VA 22125. All interested parties are encouraged
to present their views at these hearings. The public hearing will be held on
Tuesday, September 24th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Occoquan Town Hall, 314
Mill Street, Occoquan, Virginia in order to consider a Special Use Permit request by
-Mid Atlantic Real Estate Investments, Inc.- for the Mill at Occoquan development
application to permit residential use, exceed the height restriction, and waive the
setback requirement at 401-411 Mill Street, Occoquan, Virginia. The applicant is proposing a 5-story mixed-use (residential and retail) building with a maximum height of
63.61 feet above the average grade, 88 dwelling units, approximately 6,600 square
feet of retail, and 235 internal parking spaces. The subject site is zoned B-1 and is
located in the Old and Historic Occoquan District.
All are invited to attend the Public Hearing at the time and place described above
and present their views pertinent to the requested Special Use Permit. Public comments can also be mailed to 314 Mill Street, Occoquan, Virginia, 22125, or submitted
via email to kleidich@occoquanva.gov . A complete copy of the application for the
Special Use Permit is available for public inspection during normal business hours at
the Clerk’s Office of the Town of Occoquan immediately upon the advertising of this
notice, The Public Hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible
to persons with disabilities. Any person with questions on the accessibility to the
