Want a job done right and on time? Call Oliver Price.

Price was honored Wednesday morning as the 2019 ‘Good Scout’ by the Boy Scouts of America National Capital Area Council during their 20th annual banquet.

The longtime Rappahannock Electric Cooperative employee, boasting 39 years with the company, and longtime community volunteer was honored for his dependability, cheerful demeanor and willingness to always help.

His longtime friend John Harrison recalled his ability to solve seemingly every problem, telling of a time that Harrison complained about how much it cost to open and close his pool. Price came to the rescue and closed it that year and then came out to open it the following year.

“I don’t look to get awards,” Price said in accepting the Good Scout nomination. “It’s about the community we live in and making the best better.”
