"Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

-- William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925)

According to allhiphop.com, Lil' Wayne was full of talk when he was interviewed by the BBC's DJ Semtex. During the interview Wayne was asked about his feelings on the seem-ingly million unofficial remixes to his club-banging hit "A Milli." Weezy expressed that though he feels everyone who rhymed verses on the track did a good job, he felt that two artists in particular really impressed him.

"I'm not going to front, everyone killed it. I haven't heard a wack [freestyle] yet," Wayne said. "I got to say that Jay-Z's is the best version next to Lil Mama; she murdered it. And I got the opportunity to watch her do that live."

Switching gears, Wayne also pointed out the beat from his track "Dr. Carter" was originally made by producer Swizz Beatz with Jay-Z in mind.

"[Swizz] had it for Jay, and he told me 'Listen, I got this record for Jay, but I just want to see what you can do to it.' After he heard what I done to it, the record was for me. It wasn't no 'I beat Jay out,' I just did enough where I kept the record. That's real, ask Swizz."

Later on in the interview, Wayne expressed his desire to work with Mr. M.I.A., Eminem.

"I'm alright with the raps, it's OK to get on a song [with me]. I'm calling you out!" Wayne states in a comment aimed at the Shady one. "Come on out. I'm not calling you out to diss me because I can't [mess] with you. But come do a song. Please…with three 'E's."

As for the future, Wayne implied he has already begun recording "The Carter IV" LP.

"Carter IV? It's gonna be crazy because you know, I'm only getting better. Even though I'm getting older I'm only getting better. I'm in my prime right now and my light is shining very, very bright right now and I know that. So I'm gonna take advantage of that. And I promise you, I will never fail you."

P.S. In my opinion he almost did fail me with that "Mrs. Officer" cut. The arrangement of the song is incredible with Bobby Valentino and all, but Wayne's verses on the song are borderline horrible. Just my thoughts people… just my thoughts.

THE GAME AND BOW WOW TAKE IT TO MADDEN

After weeks of back and forth trash talking, the highly anticipated Madden Football challenge between The Game and Bow Wow finally took place last Friday. Sponsored by Konsole Kingz, the two emcees agreed to play each other for $100,000, which would be donated to the win-ner's charity of choice.

The outcome? Who would you put your money on if these two were engaged in a rap battle? Yup, you guessed it, Game was victorious in a 55-23 spanking of the Lil' one.

In what would seem to be a mismatch from the start, Game chose to play with the New England Patriots, while Bow Wow absurdly chose to run with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Not only did Game win on the scoreboard, he also won the crowd over by coming to the game station wearing a real football helmet. He even kept a mouthpiece in his mouth the entire game!

Following the beat down, Game was asked to rate his opponents skill level on a scale of 1 to 10. To this, Game answered "Negative eight. We have to find someone smaller for Bow Wow to play, maybe Mini Me."

Good grief, no respect! It looks like Bow Wow is going to have to put in a lot of work to get his respect as a grown man. Nonetheless, the event was positive and a good look for hip-hop.

3000s UPCOMING PROJECTS

Andre 3000 will be coming back to a big screen near you on Sept. 19 in a film titled "Battle in Seattle." 3000 recently told MTV he is excited about the project and feels his presence will bring a different audience to the film.

"When I saw the title 'Battle in Seattle,' I thought it was catchy. I thought, 'Hey, this may be some kind of rap movie.' You know, they want some kind of battle. They want me to do the kind o f '8 Mile'-battle thing. 'Cause that's the roles they give to rappers anyway." Andre said. "So once I read it, I was like, 'Hey, OK, this is something serious.' And then, the bigger picture, it was something I didn't know about. I knew if I didn't know about it, I knew a lot of people didn't know about it. So I said, 'Let me bring this to the world… through my people, through peo-ple in the rap world.' So at that point, I felt like I was doing a good deed bringing light to it."

The film is based on the controversial protests that took place in 1999 when the WTO Ministerial Conference took place in Seattle, Wash.

"I play a protester by the name of Django," he told MTV. "He's pretty much bringing light to the subject. I guess people look at protesting and feel like, of course, it's heavy. You got issues and all this kind of stuff. But my character is the person that keeps everybody on the up-and-up and alive and laughing. Even when we're locked up, I'm always making jokes and trying to keep it together."

On the music end of things, Andre stated, "I've been spending a lot of time working on the next music project, which will be my album. I can say I don't know what it's going to sound like. I can say I know what the message is already. I know what the vibe is. I'm just now really getting into it. Right now, I'm in support of Big Boi's album coming out right, Sir Luscious Left Foot. Go pick it up. Then after that, if God's willing, we'll do another Outkast album. I've been overseas working on this new, exciting clothing company called Benjamin Bigsby that's in stores right now. And that's been taking a lot of my time. But I'm really passionate about it, and I love doing it. It's been one of the most challenging things I've ever done, but I've loved clothes since I was a kid."

Keep an eye open for "Battle in Seattle," it sounds to be a interesting film.
