Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.

50 Cent and G-Unit may have received the cold shoulder from Mr. Lollipop himself. Lil' Wayne recently revealed he was in talks to go on tour with the Unit, but seems to have had a change of heart…

Wayne told MTV, "Um, that one, I don't think is gonna work no more. It was something that ain't went right."

Aside from that terrible use of the English vernacular, maybe that "something" was 50's self-admitted "dud" album released last year or Young Buck's recent discharge from the G-Unit camp. Either way, the Unit's star power looks to be a little dim these days and Wayne is already eyeing his next move.

"I think I might go [on tour] with Keyshia Cole," Wayne said. "You're bringing two different types of people in there. You got people coming to soothe their souls with Keyshia, and you got people who wanna throw their hands up with me."

It seems that artists are beginning to wisely follow the lead of Mary J. Blige and Jay Z's "Heart of the City" Tour by hitting the road as a hip hop/R&B superpackage. Rhianna is currently touring the country with Kanye West as part of the "Glow in the Dark" Tour (coming to Nissan Pavilion Saturday). A Lil' Wayne-Keyshia Cole bill could deem very successful for both artists, and Keyshia has mutual feelings. Keyshia told MTV, "I'mma kidnap him and take him on tour with me. We gotta make sure we get to-gether on that."

"It's like listening to the radio," Wayne continued. "I think a concert should be like listening to the radio. When you listen to the radio, and your top five or top eight songs come on, it's hip-hop, it's R&B. I think you gonna get that from me and Keyshia and whatever in between that."

No official word on this one yet, but stay tuned.

FROM PUFF, TO DIDDY AND NOW, HOLLYWOOD!

History was made last Friday when Sean "Diddy" Combs became the first male rapper to be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Diddy, standing next to his children, mother, sister and girlfriend, Kim Porter, told the largest crowd ever at such an event, "Today is one of the best days of my life. Today is proof that if you believe, all your dreams can come true. I've gone from Harlem to Hollywood… I've been blessed to lay along side of some of my heroes—Sidney Poitier, Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones, Denzel Washington. Everything I do everyday, I try to be a shining example of hard work, and what you get if you work hard."

In addition to the star, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that the day would be declared Sean Combs Day in Hollywood.

Def Jam head honcho, L.A. Reid, told allhiphop.com, "It's so inspirational to so many. I think that when people receive an honor like this their children are more inspired; they have more fire and more determination to walk in the footsteps of their great father. The beauty of today is really watching Sean with his children, sharing that moment and having them present to understand the impact of their fathers work."

Supporters for the Didster wore "From Harlem to Hollywood" T-shirts.

BELL SAGA CONTINUES*

Two weeks ago three officers were found not guilty of all charges in the shooting death of Sean Bell. Bell was the unarmed 23-year-old man that was gunned down by NYPD officers in November 2006 just hours before his wedding.

As a result of the not guilty verdicts in that trial, the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network has organized a city-wide "pray-in" that was to go into effect Wednesday at 3 p.m. The event was scheduled at six locations throughout New York City.

Sharpton encouraged people to get on their knees and pray and advised demonstrators to be prepared to go to jail for their civil disobidience if necessary. The six locations where the protests are to take place will increase traffic congestion and lead to a citywide slow down.

Sharpton told supporters over the weekend, "If you are not going to lock up the guilty in this town, then I guess you'll have to lock up the innocent. Where we're going, those that know won't say, and those who'll say don't know. All they'll know is why we're going. And we're going because the world must see that we're in a climate where the justice system in this state will lock up folks who'll be nonviolent and pray, but will not lock up police."

In related news, it has been reported that Jay Z has established an educational trust fund for Sean Bell's two young daughters.

*This column was submitted before the 3 p.m. start time for the protests, so no word on the actual protest itself.
