Douglas Cheshire, 56, of Nokesville really knows his Academy Awards.

Cheshire has won the Potomac News and Manassas Journal Messenger’s second annual Oscar contest.

His entry form was drawn from all of those who had the most correct predictions of who would win awards at Sunday night's big event.

Readers filled out a form predicting the winners and sent them in prior to the awards program for a chance to win $100, two AMC movie passes and a small Oscar replica. Cheshire, a retired government worker, correctly predicted 17 out of 22 winners.
