Manassas City Public Schools is about the business of learning and teaching. The school division, led by Superintendent Dr. Gail Pope, is focused on providing all students the opportunity to reach their full academic potential and to prepare them to be self-supporting, active citizens of their community, school officials said. To accomplish this, Manassas City Public Schools seeks to hire and retain high quality teachers. The division has the highest percentage of highly qualified teachers in the Prince William County area per federal No Child Left Behind regulations.
Manassas City Public Schools serves a diverse population of pupils from many backgrounds and is made up of five elementary schools (serving grades kindergarten through four), one intermediate school (grades five and six), one middle school (grades seven and eight), one high school (grades nine through 12) and one alternative school (grades seven through 12).
