A two-day operation targeting area drug activity at hotels in Prince William County resulted in more than 20 arrests, authorities said Friday.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Prince William police working with a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force arrested 22 people and seized about three ounces of cocaine, three pounds of marijuana with close to a $6,000 street-value and more than $12,000 in cash, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.
During the course of the investigation, police also seized ecstasy, firearms and ballistic vests, Hernandez said.
Hotels have a long history of being choice spots for seedy activities and police wanted an operation that would rattle that “population,“ said Prince William police Maj. Ray Colgan.
Charges police made, which range from manufacturing PCP to possession of marijuana, are all imperative in deter-ring dealers from setting up shop at local hotels, Colgan said.
“You have to hit this from the seller standpoint and the user standpoint,“ he said.

Yes the problems run much deeper and they are regarding fairness, equality, and a major part of the problem is why are illegals getting a free ride. Incidentally statistics on illegals crimes are underreported. Google it. Then again if a legal citizen committs a crime, at least he is still a citizen. Albeit a flawed one. Chris Cummings

what on earth does closing our borders have to do with this article? I see no latino names on this list of arrests. Wake up PWC. Your problems run much deeper than immigrants!!

Seal the border and lower legal immigration rates so we can better assimilate the immigrants we do have. Illegal immigrants do not deserve any rights as a US citizen. Yes they deserve rights as a human being. If you are in the US you have the right to follow the laws. If you give up these rights and you are illegal then you must go. Chris Cummings

The above article is about drug arrest, this is yet further evidence that we need to seal the border. I am not talking about illegal aliens as I do quite often but border security needs to be top proprity. I guarntee that some if not all of the drugs seized came across the poreous border to our south.

hats off to PWC police its about time the county has started to take back our community from the drug dealers and illegal immigrants. This was once a great place to live way back when hopefully the decline can be turned around!

“phdee”, what about the illegal who decided to burst into his ex-wives house and proceed to shoot about 5 people killing a couple in Woodbridge a couple months ago? I would take a couple marijuana possessions over murder anyday. The illegals need to go. Woodbridge is already nicer. I don’t see illegals loitering and stumbling drunk down Rt.1 anymore. Good point PWCPD and Mr. Stewart, keep up the good work!!
