August indictments

A grand jury in Prince William Circuit Court handed up the following indictments Aug. 4.

A grand jury indictment means that prosecutors have sufficient evidence to take a case to trial. It is not a finding of guilt or innocence.

Addresses for 9 people were not available. The grand jury ruled that 11 cases lacked merit to go to trial.

The remainder of the indictments is as follows:

• Gary Maurice Moore, 28, 621 N. Patrick St., Alexandria, receiving stolen property and statutory burglary

•  Zinnah Bkjar Wiles, Jr., 24, 14207 Mount Pleasant Drive, Woodbridge, robbery, malicious wounding, aggravated malicious wounding, attempted murder and two counts of use or display of a firearm in commission of a felony.

• Jose Alberto Acosta, 50, 48 Essex Ave., Hialeah, Fla., transportation of controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute marijuana

•  Thomas Roy Bennett, 20, 9709 Clark Place, Apt. 103, Manassas, aggravated malicious wounding, wearing a mask in public and conspiracy to commit capital murder for hire

•  Frederick Anthony Bethune, 37, 3046 Seminole Road, Woodbridge, two counts of obtaining money by false pretense

•  April Dawn Blasini, 36, 10332 Abbott Road, Manassas, aggravated malicious wounding, conspiracy to commit murder for hire and criminal solicitation for murder for hire

•  Mauricio Alberto Campos Guillen, 44, 1416 Cottonwood Court, Woodbridge, six counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of aggravated sexual battery

•  Jeremy Francis Demott, 32, 10259 Battlefield Drive, Manassas, grand larceny and possession of schedule 1 or schedule 2 narcotic

•  Cesar Manuel Escalante, Jr., 31, 114 Courtney Drive, Manassas, third DWI offense within five year
