An October trial date has been set for the former Manassas teacher accused of sexually assaulting three underage girls at his Stafford County home.

Ted Thomas Johnson, 48, of 3 Horsepen Run in Stafford appeared in Stafford Circuit Court Wednesday for an arraignment hearing.

Johnson is charged with aggravated sexual battery, two counts of attempted aggravated sexual battery, taking indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of attempted indecent liberties.

Johnson is set to stand trial on those charges before a jury in Stafford Circuit Court on Oct. 15, according to court records.

Johnson was arrested on Feb. 26 after a 13-year-old girl reported that Johnson attempted to sexually assault her while she was at his house on Feb. 18, officials from the Stafford County Sheriff’s office said at the time.

Soon after that, two other girls, a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl reported that Johnson had assaulted them as well.

The 12-year-old reported that Johnson assaulted her while she was at his house in June; the 13-year-old said he assaulted her at his house in September, officials said.

Johnson worked as a band teacher in Manassas City Public Schools for 20 years prior to his arrest on Feb. 28. Most recently he worked as a band teacher at Mayfield Intermediate School and at Osbourn High School and as Osbourn’s band director.

Johnson was placed on administrative leave at the time of his arrest and was barred from having any contact with students or access to school properties.

The three girls who reported the assaults were not Johnson’s students and he is not accused of any crimes involving Manassas students.

“Hit a nerve for the law and order and Rule of Law crowd, huh?”

No.  You’re just a moron.

The girls were friends of his daughter.

phdee, the correct term is anti-illegal immigration, not anti-immigrant.

Any crime committed by an illegal alien is a crime that is 100% preventable - which is the difference between this crime - horrible but not preventable (in any way that I can see).

Perhaps you could take some time to visit a real PhD. Perhaps someone who checks people above the neck!

No No NO litehouse, please don’t blame the children for the actions of an adult. Children are first taught they should trust adults as a ‘safe haven’ when they are young. Yes, as they get older they should be taught what is appropriate and what is not, but please NEVER blame the children for being put in an uncomfortable situation with an adult.  That is like blaming a college coed for ‘being too pretty’ on campus.

First off phdee, your an idiot. My question is “what were these girls doing at this man’s house anyway?” Clearly something is not right here. Kids know (at least they should) that somethings are just not appropriate. If they can be told that if their parents touch them or strike them in anyway, they can be put in jail (and they understand that) how hard is it to understand that even thinking about going to his home was inapropriate. What is wrong with kids these days?

Hit a nerve for the law and order and Rule of Law crowd, huh? Bigotry and racism got your tongues?  Or you don’t have the guts to speak out against SZmerican crime?

No fear - we put the sticker on you: You won and get a drive to the house where all the people are that don’t function on a normal level! LOL

But once you have something to contribute to the article maybe we listen (I doubt it, but who knows?).

Wow, he looks white and has an American name. I’ll have to agree with phdee here, why is there no outcry for the removal of all white Americans as there is clearly an(alleged)criminal element among us.

Where are the anti-immigration voices speaking out on this?  The silence is deafening.

By far one of the dumbest comments I’ve heard coming from this poster. Do you have a problem with PWC - then leave and rattle the cell doors at ICE.
