Police arrested the man who they say is the Five Guys robber after he allegedly tried to rob a 78-year-old woman at gunpoint.

Prince William police arrested 25-year-old David Joseph Guanciale, of no fixed address, on Thursday after they received a call about a robbery in progress in the parking lot of Wal-Mart at 17041 Jefferson Davis High-way.

Guanciale forced his way into the woman’s car and threatened her with a gun, while demanding she drive him to an ATM, said Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.

She crashed the vehicle into another car in the parking lot while trying to comply with the robber’s demands, Hernandez said.

Police found Guanciale in a nearby apartment complex after he ran.

Guanciale was charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Five Guys near Dumfries was robbed of cash on Sunday when a customer walked in and grabbed money out of the drawer after paying for his order.

After watching surveillance videos, the identity of their robbery suspects matched, Hernandez said.

He was held without bond. His court hearing date is May 2.

It’s a shame that people judge others on appearance and social status! A criminal should be punished for the CRIME not because of their ethinticity. (yes David is ITALIAN!)

It’s funny how some people will automatically judge someone just because they don’t have a “fixed address” or by looking a picture and assuming that he’s an illegal alien.
This individual has committed a crime and should be punished. By the way, Guanciale is an Italian name.
I can easily assume that the people who wrote the previous comments are Caucasian, but I’m not going to assume because everyone knows what happens when you ASS*U*ME.
