Prince William County police need help in solving an armed robbery at 11:11 p.m. Monday at the Giant Food store at 7575 Linton Hall Road in Gainesville, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.

Three store employees told police that they were closing the store when a masked man approached and implied that he had a gun, Hernandez said.

The man ordered the grocery store employees, two women and a man, into the store office where he tied up the man and ordered him to the floor.

The gunman ordered the women to their knees,  made one of them open the safe, took an undisclosed amount of money and left the store, Hernandez said.

The victims told police that the man who robbed them was a light-skinned black or possibly a Middle Eastern man between 18 and 21 years old. He was thin, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 150 pounds.

He wore a Spider-Man mask, a dark green or blue sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, a blue knit cap, white and blue construction work gloves and white sneakers, Hernandez said.
