A 28-year-old man was charged in connection with a non-fatal shooting at a Global Food earlier this month after police received a crucial tip Sunday morning, authorities said Tuesday.
Carlos Ernesto Morales-Zuniga, of no fixed address, was charged with malicious wounding and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
His arrest came after
police received a call around 7:30 a.m. Sunday that a possible suspect in the shooting was in the 7400 block of Stream Walk Lane near Manassas, police said.
Following further investigation, Morales-Zuniga was arrested for allegedly shooting a 39-year-old Manassas man outside the grocery store at 10320 Festival Lane near Manassas around noon on May 13, Hernandez said.
Police believe an argument between the two sparked the shooting, but would not release the nature of the argu-ment.
Morales-Zuniga is being held without bond pending a court hearing June 25, Hernandez said.
