A 25-year-old man was charged in connection with a burglary after police allegedly saw him running from the scene of the crime, according to Manassas City police.

Jose Rivera, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property following the incident that occurred around 2:10 a.m. Monday, said Sgt. Tim Neumann, police spokesman.

Rivera is accused of breaking the front glass door of Spice & Laundrymat at 9620 Grant Ave. and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and phone cards, police said.

He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 29.

How about a fresh approach to reporting like reporting EVERYTHING.  Since PWC police are to check to status of all arrested then articles about arrests should contain information about the person’s status—illegal or legal resident.  Which is Jose Rivera.  Reporters, please report ALL of the information and let us readers know whether this person is being turned back into the community to continue to break the law or being turned over the ICE.

How do we keep hearing of hispanics breaking the laws or committing crimes, when in reality they don’t have to follow the same laws as other legal citizens, since this would violate their civil rights.
