Manassas police have arrested a suspect in the non-fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man a little more than a week ago.
Frank Tyree Chatmon, 28, was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon, police said. He was taken into custody without incident in Annandale on Monday.
According to police, Chatmon shot the victim in the hand while he was walking with a group of friends in the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court in the city.
The victim suffered permanent injury from the shooting, authorities said.
Chatmon is being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail and is scheduled to appear in court July 7.
