A 56-year-old Manassas man was flown to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries following a hit and run collision near Montclair early Tuesday morning, Prince William County police said.
The man was crossing Va. 234 at the pedestrian crosswalk at Warm Springs Lane when a commercial tractor ran a red light and struck him, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.
Police said the tractor fled the scene before police arrived, but was located at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Sudley Manor Drive outside Manassas after a lookout was broadcast.
The driver, identified as Emir Salihovic, 23, of 8615 Broadway Ave. in Richmond, was charged with felony hit and run and disregarding a red signal, Hernandez said.
Salihovic was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Sept. 19, Hernandez said.

I wonder what Emir discharged out of his vehicle between the hit-and-run scene and his eventual apprehension?

Better check his license and to see if he is an illegal alien. I mean even if you have run a red light why would you run if you were honest or legal for that matter. It takes a real criminal to do something like this. LOL Chris Cummings
