A 46-year-old Woodbridge man is in jail with no bond after Prince William County police arrested him on multiple charges, including stalking and violating final protective orders, police said.
John Christopher Berrios was arrested after police saw him tampering with the vehicle owned by a 39-year-old woman who had requested protection from Berrios, the father of her child.
Berrios was arrested outside of her Woodbridge home after six months of stalking, and tampering with her vehicle and property, police said.
During one incident earlier this month, Berrios was charged with grand larceny for stealing a sump pump from the woman’s home and placing a dead animal in the hole.
Over the past month, Berrios has received three stalking charges, three violating final protective order charges, two tampering of auto charges and one grand larceny charge.

“rosesandice,“ some people just seem to want confrontation.  And I’m talking about you, not John Berrios.

I fail to understand why you ask silly and punctuation-deficient questions like “would youlike someone to stalk you”?  I’m not defending the guy.  I’m not even questioning the facts presented.  I’m simply saying that this isn’t the guy I’ve come to know, that none of us have all of the facts, and that I hope that all of the facts will reveal a different picture.  I can’t say that I’m optimistic that they will.

Kaitlyn is obviously right about not knowing someone, if the story is accurate: I had no idea about his record.  All that I know is that he provided good service at a reasonable price (he has an HVAC business).  So, “rosesandice,“ don’t be sorry for me, or that I did business with him.  Obviously, there is a significant distinction between his professional behavior and his personal behavior (again, if the facts stated in the story are true).

It wouldn’t be the first time that someone I thought I knew had engaged in behavior contradicting his public persona.  I suppose we all know of situations like this.  A former 11th Congressional District GOP Chairman went to prison for similar behavior.  He was an attorney.

I know the family and have meet John. He is what I would call a wolf in sheeps clothing. I have watched this young woman for the past year. Go from be very out going to have to look over her shoulder every time she goes some where. She could not even be safe in her own home because of him. John puts on a good act for people. I agree with Kaitlyn. It should not have taken the police so long to do something what are they wanting on for him to KILL THE YOUNG WOMAN AND HER CHILD the police realy need to look into crimes like this when a WOMAN AND CHILD ARE PUT IN DANGER. I thoughts and prayers go out to the young woman and her child

First of all, why did it take Prince William County 6 months to actually do something about this AxxHole??? Second, a case search under Virginia Court records shows this guy has a nice little police file. Obviously he has some type of drug or mental problem. I have no idea what type of business Mr. Young has or had with this guy, but I definately would not want him around my house or family at all. Obviously you never really know someone…...

This is very sad, no matter the facts.  I’ve done business with John for years, and I truly hope that there are facts of which we are unaware which will exonerate him.  In any case, I hope this story does not cause a rush to judgment which would impact adversely his right to a fair trial.
