Manassas police are investigating an early morning burglary in the 9000 block of Weir Street.
A 52-year-old woman reported that she fell asleep watching TV in her living room last night and woke at 2 a.m. this morning when she heard noises coming from her garage, Manassas police spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann said.
The woman yelled for her husband to come downstairs. He went outside the house to investigate and saw two men run from the garage area, police said.
A remote garage door opener was taken from a car parked in the garage, Neumann said.
The burglars are described as two men, both approximately six feet tall. One man was heavy set and wearing dark clothing and the second had a medium build and wore dark clothing.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Manassas City Crime solvers at 703-330-0330. You don’t have to give your name, just the information and you could get a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
