A Manassas teen charged with throwing objects onto Prince William Parkway to cause car accidents was sentenced Friday to four months in jail.
Michael David Fuller, 18, of 9609 Garden St. in Manassas, pleaded guilty in Prince William General District Court Friday to four misdemeanor charges of littering on a public highway.
A judge in Prince William General District Court sentenced Fuller to 12 months in jail, with 11 months suspended, for each charge.
Prosecutors dropped four other misdemeanor trespassing charges.
Fuller also faces five felony destruction of property charges. Those charges will go before a grand jury in July.
Fuller is one of nine Osbourn High School students who has been charged for what police said was a prank that resulted in at least one car accident with injuries.
According to police, objects were found on Prince William Parkway, between Lucasville and Nokesville roads, beginning late last year.
In their investigation, police discovered that teens were placing the objects, including children's toys, tires, tree limbs and boulders, to cause cars to swerve and have accidents, police said in March.
Police reported that on March 18 two cars crashed because a tree limb, a tire and a boulder were on the road. Two people were
injured.
Three days later police again found objects on the roadway. They searched the area and arrested several teens, in-cluding Fuller.
Two of the other teens, Eric Regis, 18, of 8576 Adamson St. and Dusty Harrelson, 18, of 10373 Butternut Circle, are scheduled to appear in General District Court on misdemeanor charges on July 18.
Regis faces one misdemeanor charge of littering on a public highway and one misdemeanor charge of trespassing. Harrelson is charged with four misdemeanors: two counts each of littering on a public highway and trespass-ing.
Regis and Harrelson are also charged with two felony counts of destruction of property. Those charges will go before a grand jury in July.
Four 17-year-olds and two 16-year-olds, who were not identified because they are minors, were also charged with a total of 43 misdemeanors and felonies in connection with the incidents. They will have hearings in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
