Prince William police are expected to hold a press conference this afternoon to discuss grand jury action in the abduction case of Barbara Jean Bosworth, the Alexandria woman who was abducted and killed in car accident in the Woodbridge area on Sept. 13.
The only survivor of the crash, Keith Anthony Baskerville, 19, of Dale City, was charged with carjacking and abduction with the intent to extort money, according to Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Lutchman Chandler, 19, of Dale City, was also killed in the wreck.
Police said Chandler and Baskerville abducted the 61-year-old Alexandria woman from the Springfield Mall, drove her to a PDQ Mart in Woodbridge in her Saturn and forced her to use her ATM card to make a purchase, according to po-lice.
Police were called around 3 p.m. when a customer noticed two men escorting Bosworth around the store and de-cided to intervene. He approached the woman pretending to know her, hugged her and then whispered in her ear if she needed help. She indicated that she did, according to police.
The Saturn was seen speeding toward U.S. 1 before one of the two abductors lost control and crashed into some trees at the intersection of Neabsco Road and Indus Drive, authorities said.
About a week after the accident, police said that based on the investigation, witnesses interviews and surveillance videos, it appeared that Chandler was driving, Bosworth was in the front passenger seat and Baskerville was in the rear seat.
Police also said at the time that the toy gun used in the abduction was stolen from a Springfield Mall store that afternoon.

I said earlier when an article appeared saying this creep was only charged with kidnapping and carjacking that because those are felonies.. he should be charged with felony murder, murder occuring during a felony.. and THANK YOU Paul Ebert for seeing that justice will be served. Make him wish he had died along with his friend. Send a strong message and warning to those creeps and maybe this kind of crime will happen less and less or maybe in a perfect world it will stop.

Although Keith Baskerville was not the driver of the vehicle,he planned the crime ,along with Chandler, that resulted in Barbara Bosworth’s death. So abduction and carjacking are not enough-he should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. He has NO RIGHT to see the light of day again!
