Prince William police reported the following
incidents:
Dale City
• A green 1997 Plymouth Voyager van valued at $500 was stolen from the 4300 block of Welsh Lane between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Gainesville area
• A 2005 Bobcat valued at $47,250 was stolen from a construction site in the 8500 block of Virginia Meadows Drive between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Manassas area
• Police were called to a residence in the 8800 block of Teakwood Court around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim reported he heard a loud noise coming from the front door and saw someone kicking at the door after going to investigate, police said. The would-be burglar did not get in.
Woodbridge
• A two-door, brown 1987 Ford Bronco valued at $2,000 was stolen from the 13400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway between 9 a.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.
• A paint sprayer, three sanders, a battery charger, batteries, a hammer drill and a saw valued at $3,198 were stolen from a work van in the area of Maryland Avenue and Enterprise Lane between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday. Entry was gained by breaking the locked doors.
• A laptop computer, a GPS unit, a work light, a digital camera and cash valued at $1,950 were stolen from an SUV in the 1200 block of Cronin Drive between 12:30 and 7:30 a.m. Sunday. A window was broken to gain entry, police said.
• A ramp valued at $400 was stolen from the rear of a business in the 13100 block of Gordon Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The thief was described as a Hispanic man, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing white work pants, police said.
• A video game system valued at $300 was stolen from an apartment in the 3000 block of Fox Lair Drive between 6 and 11 a.m. Tuesday. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
• A DVD player, a computer monitor and two video game systems valued at $1,350 were stolen from a residence in the 3200 block of Pauls Court between 7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. A kitchen window was forced open to gain entry, police said.
