Girl grabbed by neck, robbed of cell phone
A 17-year-old girl was robbed of her cell phone in the 14800 block of Darbydale Avenue in Dale City around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police said the girl was grabbed by her neck from behind and pushed to the ground.
She broke free, ran from the scene and called police, Hernandez said.
The attacker was described as a white man in his 20s, thin and approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, police said. He was wearing a blue tank top and jean shorts.
Group robs M. Park man delivering pizza
A 62-year-old Manassas Park man was robbed while delivering pizzas after a group of unknown men surrounded him in the 7400 block of Colton Lane near Manassas around 9:40 p.m. July 26, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Two of the attackers threatened the man with handguns and demanded money, police said.
The man gave the attackers his money and then was hit on the chin with one of the guns, according to po-lice.
One of the attackers was described as a black man, between 18 and 21 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, police said. He had black hair, was wearing dark clothing, a white bandanna over his head and was armed with a gun.
One of the other attackers was described as a white man, between 18 and 21 years old, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and thin, police said. He had blond hair, was wearing dark clothes and was also armed with a gun.
The victim sustained minor injuries, Hernandez said.
Man sitting in vehicle
is robbed of wallet
A 47-year-old Fredericksburg man was robbed of his wallet while sitting in his vehicle in the 8600 block of Park-land Street near
Manassas Park around 1:30 p.m. Friday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokes-woman.
The robber reached through the window and grabbed the man's wallet from his lab, police said, and then returned to grab the man's cell phone from his hands.
According to police, the robber then smashed the cell phone on the ground and fled the scene on a bicycle.
The robber was described as a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, police said. He had black hair and was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.
The victim was not injured during the incident, police said.
Flashing incident reported in Dale City
Prince William police are investigating a peeping tom incident in which an unknown man flashed a woman Thurs-day night, police spokeswoman Officer Erika Hernandez said.
The peeping Tom was looking through a glass door at the woman's residence in the 3300 unit block of Bron-son Court in Dale City around 9:17 p.m., Hernandez said.
When she spotted him, he flashed her, Hernandez said.
The flasher was described as a black man, between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and thin, police said. He was wearing blue jeans, a long black T-shirt and was wearing a mask over his face.
Triangle teen charged with robbery attempt
A 17-year-old Triangle boy was charged with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony following an attack in the 4300 block of Fortuna Center Plaza near Dumfries around 3 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
A 15-year-old Dumfries boy reported that an unknown male approached him and demanded his iPod, police said.
When the boy refused, the would-be robber pulled out a gun, Hernandez said. He then fled the scene.
Police officers and sheriffs deputies located the 17-year-old walking nearby, police said.
The teen, who was not identified because he is a minor, is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Woodbridge man, 30, charged with flashing
Rigoberto Ortiz, 30, of 3625 Elm Farm Road in Woodbridge, was charged with indecent exposure following an incident in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge around noon Tuesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Ortiz is accused of flashing a 37-year-old Dale City woman, Hernandez said.
He was held without bond and has a scheduled court date of Sept. 29.
Man charged with theft of copper material
Jason Scott Duprey, 29, of 12700 Gordon Boulevard in Woodbridge, was charged with grand larceny following a theft at a building supply store in the 14000 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge around 4 p.m. Thursday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Duprey is accused of stealing copper plumbing material valued at $1,013.32, Hernandez said.
According to police, Duprey allegedly loaded the copper material on a shopping cart and left without paying. He was held in lieu of a $3,500 bond and has a scheduled court date of Sept. 23.
Man, 20, hit, robbed
of bike, phone, cash
A 20-year-old Dale City man was robbed of his bicycle, cell phone and cash in the area of Gideon Drive and Bixby Lane in Dale City around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokes-woman.
Police said two unknown males knocked him off his bike and began beating him with metal pipes.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for a cut on his head and a broken arm, police said.
Loudoun teen gets drug charge at Pavilion show
Ryan Patrick Landers, 19, of 20835 Blythwood Court in Ashburn, was charged with possession with intent to dis-tribute marijuana during a concert at Nissan Pavilion, 7800 block of Cellar Door Drive in Bristow, around 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Landers was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Aug. 25, Hernandez said.
