Prince William and Manassas police reported the following incidents:
Gainesville
• A stereo system valued at $380 was stolen from a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado in the 7400 block of Linton Hall Road around 4 a.m. Saturday.
Manassa
• A black and gold-colored moped valued at $400 was stolen from the 8600 block of Mathis Avenue between 9 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. Sunday. Police said the moped was locked up near the public library. When the victim returned, he found the chains broken.
Manassas Area
• A purse, three cell phones and credit cards valued at $1,325 were stolen from a 1998 Pontiac Grand-Prix in the 10400 block of Sudley Manor Drive around 7:11 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was left unattended and unlocked, police said.
Manassas Park Area
• A bicycle valued at $250 was stolen from the backyard of a residence in the 7600 block of Somerset Lane around 2:40 p.m. Friday. Police said the victim saw the thief jump the fence and steal the bike. The thief was described as a thin Hispanic man, between 18 and 20 years old, and approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a long white shirt and blue jeans, police said.
