Knife-wielding man runs off with necklace
A man armed with a knife robbed a 45-year-old Manassas woman inside a restaurant in the 8300 block of Shoppers Square near Manassas Park on Saturday night, Prince William County police said.
Around 8:50 p.m., police said a man walked up to the woman, brandished a knife and then demanded her purse.
After telling the robber she didn't have a purse, he grabbed a necklace she was wearing and fled, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.
The robber was described as Hispanic, between 23 and 30, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and 130 pounds, police said. He was wearing dark gray dress pants, a black leather jacket and a black leather hat.
The victim was not injured during the attack, Richardson said. The necklace was valued at $600.
Argument with friend ends in hammer blow
A 39-year-old man was hit in the face with a hammer during an argument with an acquaintance at his residence in the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive in the Manassas area around 6:20 p.m. Sunday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police said the victim had returned home from shopping when a friend began arguing with him, hit him in the face and then ran away, police said.
The attacker was described as a thin Hispanic man, between 25 and 30, and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries, Richardson said.

The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. Albert Einstein

It is funny that because of the fact that the person is labled as Hispanic that it is taken as OK to lable a whole race as bad. There are just as many robberys by black and white people as well. It has nothing to do with work, and it has nothing to do with legal status. It has to do with morals and principle. If someone robs another person they are a criminal, and this is regardless of race or creed. Racisim is racisim regardless of how you choose to rationlize it.

You will continue to see stories such as the Hispanic robber in Manassas Park. They will increasingly get desperate as there is no work for them. Of course the open borders crowd will spin the story that if we had allowed them to work legally in the US, none this would have happened. He is just here to make a better life for himself. The illegal construction business as all but dried up so they will turn to what ever means necessary to get by. It is good news that we are seeing far less Hispanic Males congregating at the local 7-11. The tide is turning in the favor of those that oppose illegal immigration.
