M. Park stabbing being investigated

Manassas Park police are investigating a non-fatal stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning at a business on Conner Drive, according to a police news

release.

Police are searching for the one or more persons responsible for the stabbing that sent an approximately 31-year-old man to the hospital, the news release states.

The man was treated at Prince William Hospital for non life-threatening

injuries.

Boys hit Manassas teen on head with gun

Two teenage boys sent a 16-year-old Manassas boy to the hospital after knocking him on the head with a gun Friday night, Prince William County police said.

Around 5:30 p.m., two males between ages 16 and 19 approached the victim in the 12000 block of Infantry Ridge Road outside Manassas and demanded money, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.

One of the assailants was armed with a gun and struck the victim on the head, causing two lacerations that required stitches.

The would-be robbers fled the scene on their bikes, Hernandez said.

One was approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing a gray shirt and blue shorts, police said. The other was approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and was wearing a white shirt and dark shorts.

The victim was treated at a local hospital, police said.

Teen arrested, charged after family threatened

An 18-year-old accused of threatening a family member with a gun was arrested this week on three criminal charges, Prince William County police said.

Cameron Donte Broady, 18, of 7492 Princess Carol Court near Manassas Park, was charged with brandishing a handgun, possession of a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 9:52 a.m. Sunday in the 7800 block of Blue Gray Circle near Manassas, Hernandez said.

Broady threatened a family member during a verbal altercation, police said.

He left the scene before police arrived, but was found during a canvass of the area, Hernandez said.

The teen was held in lieu of a $3,000 bond. No court date was available.

Man charged following burglary in Manassas

A 25-year-old man was charged in connection with a burglary after police allegedly saw him running from the scene of the crime, said Manassas City police.

Jose Rivera, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property following the incident that occurred around 2:10 a.m. Monday, said Sgt. Tim Neumann, police spokesman.

Rivera is accused of breaking the front glass door of Spice & Laundrymat at 9620 Grant Ave. and stealing an undis-closed amount of cash and phone cards, police said.

He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 29.

Boy charged with intent to distribute marijuana

A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after police stopped to investigate a group of suspicious people Saturday night, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.

According to police, the group was in the area of Lockerbie Way and Duneiden Lane in the Manassas area around 9:28 p.m. The teen was allegedly found with marijuana during the investigation, Hernandez said.

The boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was released to a parent and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Three are charged with vehicle break-in

Three people were charged in connection with a vehicle break-in that occurred in the 10800 block of Gambril Drive in the Manassas area around 1:14 a.m. Friday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokes-woman.

Chhatwal, 18, of 7330 Early Marker Court; Nitin Kundra, 18, of 10553 Turning Grass Way; and John Frank Cali-cho-Mamani, 18, of 8227 Katie Lynn Court, all from the Gainesville area, were each charged with grand larceny, possession of burglarious tools and destruction of property.

Police responded to investigate a larceny-in-progress, Hernandez said, but arrived at the scene to find the thieves had already fled.

A lookout was broadcast and K-9 Officer G.L. Moore pulled over "the suspect vehicle" near Interstate 66 and Va. 234, police said.

The investigation revealed that the three had broken into a 1998 Infiniti and stolen the stereo and a DVD, Hernandez said.

Chhatwal, who was also charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, was held in lieu of a $7,000 bond, Hernandez said.

Kundra was held in lieu of a $3,000 bond and Calicho-Mamani was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Each is scheduled to appear in court July 29.
