Dale City man charged with cocaine possession
A Dale City man was charged with public intoxication and possession of cocaine around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Gerry Lane in Dale City, Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, said in a written statement.
Safi Malik Williams, 25, of 13712 Gran-Deur Drive in Dale City was held on a $5,000 bond and has a court date of Nov. 5.
Boy, 13, charged with stealing bike in Dale City
A 13-year-old boy was charged with statutory
burglary and grand larceny after he broke into a garage and took a bicycle valued at $300, police said.
The burglary happened on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. in the 13900 block of Glendale Drive in Dale City, Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, said in a written statement.
The boy was released to his parents. No court date information was made available.
Alexandria man faces assault, battery charge
A 48-year-old auto repair shop manager was assaulted by an Alexandria man who, police said, tried to take his car without paying for repairs.
Kevin Joseph Horihan, 37, of Alexandria, was charged with defrauding a garage keeper and assault and battery after he tried to take his car from the repair shop Wednesday around 5:20 p.m. in the 13700 block of Smoketown Road in Dale City, Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman, said in a written statement.
The shop owner was not seriously injured. Horihan was released on his own recognizance and has a court date set for Nov. 19.
