Manassas-area woman charged with larceny
Sonia Margarita Beltran, 23, of 7763 Black Horse Court near Manassas, was charged with grand larceny after police responded to a shoplifting call at a department store in the 11100 block of Bulloch Drive near Manassas, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Beltran is accused of walking out of the store with merchandise valued at $422 around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Hernandez said.
She is scheduled to appear in court May 14, police said. Bond information was not available.
Man arrested, charged with stealing a car
A 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing a car he was found driving Thursday, Prince William County police said.
William Van Rouse, of 5949 Hickory Ridge Road, was charged with grand larceny after a patrol officer stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mill and Washington streets in Occoquan around 12:54 a.m., said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.
According to police, Rouse stole a 1988 Hyundai Elantra.
He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and has a June 9 court date.
Warrenton man charged for stolen property
Maurice Lamont Crawford, 41, of 46 Taylor St. in Warrenton, was charged with possession of stolen property and driving on a revoked operators license in the area of Va. 234 and Lomond Drive near Manassas around 11:59 a.m. Saturday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police arrested Crawford during a traffic stop in which they found he was driving a vehicle with Virginia tags reported stolen, Hernandez said.
No bond information or court date was available, police said.
