Two flown, hospitalized after separate collisions
Prince William County police are investigating two separate car collisions that resulted in two people being flown with injuries to Inova Fairfax Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
The first incident occurred around 2:07 p.m. in the Lake Jackson area when a 2006 Ford E450 box truck traveling north on Brentsville Road crossed the double yellow line and crashed into several trees, said Officer Erika Hernan-dez, police spokeswoman.
The driver, identified as a 29-year-old man from Washington, D.C., was pinned inside the truck and had to be re-moved by fire and rescue workers, Hernandez said. He was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
The passenger, a 24-year-old Silver Spring, Md., man, was not injured, police said.
The second incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. when a 2006 Honda Accord traveling west in the 2200 block of Montgomery Avenue in Woodbridge crossed the double yellow lines and collided with a van and a truck that were parked on the side of the road, Hernandez said.
Neither of the other vehicles was occupied.
An 18-year-old Woodbridge woman driving the Honda was flown to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
No one has been charged in either of the crashes,
police said.
Man, 20, charged with malicious wounding

Garcia is accused of stabbing a 23-year-old man in the arm with a steak knife during an argument and was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond, Hernandez said.
The 23-year-old's condition and Garcia's court date were not available, Hernandez said.
