Prince William police are searching for a Fairfax County man who allegedly broke into an acquaintance's house and stole a laptop and personal checks.
Donald Stephenson Alsberry, 39, whose last known address is 13575 Lees Corner Road in Chantilly, is facing charges of statutory burglary and grand larceny, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokesman.
The break-in happened at a house in Manassas on April 3, Hernandez said.
On Monday, the stolen car police say Alsberry was driving was recovered in the Manassas area.
Alsberry, who Hernandez said is wanted in several other jurisdictions, is black, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 210 pounds. Police said he has brown eyes and black hair.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Prince William County Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. Callers don't have to give their name, just the information, and could earn up to a $1,000 cash reward.
