Man attacks two boys, claims to be officer
A man claiming to be a law enforcement officer attacked two juveniles in the 4600 block of Hamilton Drive in Dale City around 6:50 p.m. Friday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
According to police, a 38-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he heard a car’s tires squealing, went to see what was going on, and saw a man assaulting two juvenile boys.
When he approached the altercation, the assailant assaulted him then claimed to be a police officer, yelled a threat, got into his car and drove off, police said.
The assailant was described as a white man, between 24 and 26, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown hair. Police said he was wearing a white shirt and blue shorts at the time of the incident and was driving a maroon Saturn that had a folded temporary license tag.
Police said the victims did not required medical attention.
Man charged with resisting arrest in Dale City
A man was arrested on several criminal charges over the weekend after a police officer witnessed the man allegedly driving his vehicle aggressively in Dale City, Prince William County police said.
Christopher Patrick Beaver, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of a concealed weapon — a knife — disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after being pulled over on Minnieville Road at Cardinal Drive around 10 a.m. Saturday for allegedly tailgating other vehicles and weaving in out of the traffic lanes, police said.
Beaver was held without bond and has a July 7 court date.
Occoquan teen charged with drug possession
An area girl was arrested on drug and theft charges after allegedly leaving a Woodbridge store without paying for merchandise, according to Prince William County police.
Rachel Elizabeth Hartmann, 18, of 4900 Occoquan Club Drive in the Lake Occoquan Club subdivision, was charged with grand larceny, possession of burglary tools, possession of heroin and possession of marijuana in the 13700 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge around 6 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Hartmann, accused of trying to steal $224 in clothing from the store, was held in lieu of a $4,000 bond and has an Aug. 27 court date.
Three males assault Lake Ridge couple
Three males assaulted a 20-year-old Lake Ridge man after asking him and the 28-year-old woman he was with for a cigarette, Prince William police said.
When the man refused, the Lake Ridge woman spoke to the three males, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.
One of the assailants pointed a handgun at the woman before they began to assault the man, Richardson said.
Police said one assailant was described as a thin black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds who was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt and jeans.
According to police, the second assailant was described as a heavy-set black boy, around 17 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and a black stocking cap at the time of the incident.
The third assailant was described as a thin male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds.
Two attempt to rob Dumfries residence
Two robbers wearing blue bandannas over their faces assaulted and attempted to rob two men inside a house in the 3000 block of Sigel Court in Dumfries around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to Prince William County police.
The men, ages 26 and 22, reported that two teenagers entered the house through an unlocked front door then pulled a handgun and demanded money, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.
According to police, the men struck the victims, but fled the residence without taking anything.
Each of the would-be robbers was described as a black male, between 16 and 18 and approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall.
One was about 165 pounds and was wearing black pants, a black shirt and a blue doo-rag, Richardson said. The other was described as about 145 pounds and as wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a blue doo-rag.
Police investigate non-fatal stabbing in city
Police are investigation a non-fatal stabbing that occurred in the 10700 block of Coverstone Drive in the Manassas area around 10:40 p.m. Thursday.
According to Prince William police, a woman and man approached a 29-year-old Manassas man, stabbing him in the torso.
The victim was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital to be treated, police said. Police did not know the man’s the condition.
Triangle woman charged with assault and battery
Tamika Winca, 56, of 18252 Old Triangle Road, No. 203, in Triangle, was charged with assault and battery after an incident in the 18200 block of Old Triangle Road around 12:10 p.m. Monday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
According to police, Winca assaulted a 56-year-old Triangle woman who asked her to leave some planted flowers alone, Richardson said.
Winca was released on her own recognizance, police said. No court date was available.
The 56-year-old woman did not require treatment, Richardson said.
Dumfries teen charged with brandishing weapon
A 17-year-old Dumfries boy was charged with brandishing a weapon, a BB gun, in the 1500 block of East Longview Drive in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
The incident occurred around 12:07 p.m. Friday when the boy was carrying a BB gun in that area, police said.
The teen, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was released to his parents and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Man attacked in Dale City restaurant lot
An 18-year-old Dale City man was robbed while in a restaurant parking lot, eating, around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Prince William County police said.
The incident happened in the 2800 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.
A group of men approached the victim and a friend and asked them questions, Richardson said.
When the victim walked away to answer his cell phone, one man followed him then assaulted him and stole his cell phone, police said.
The victim did not require medical attention.
Jogger attacked by three men in Dale City
Police received a report of an attempted armed robbery after conducting a traffic stop in the 14000 block of Lindendale Road in Dale City around 4:30 a.m., said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
An injured 69-year-old man was in the passenger seat and told police that two teenage boys attacked him while he was jogging, Richardson said.
According to police, the assailants asked for money and when he told them he didn’t have any, a third male jumped out of the bushes with a handgun and assaulted him.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injures, Richardson said.

We need more activities for teens in this area. Things to keep them out of trouble and to keep them on the right path to being a productive adult in today’s society. Chris Cummings
