Man, woman arrested on drug charges
A 28-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were arrested on possession with intent to distribute charges during a traffic stop in the area of Dillingham Square and Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The incident occurred around 2:11 a.m. Saturday, Hernandez said.
Kevin Montgomery Brooks, of no fixed address, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Ecstasy, police said.
Samantha Lynn Fletcher, 23, of 5507 Union Mills Road in Troy, was charged with possession with intent to distribute Ecstasy, driving under the influence and driving a suspended operator’s license.
Brooks was held without bond and Fletcher was held lieu of a $3,000 bond. Each is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 23.
Purse stolen from woman in Woodbridge
A 41-year-old woman had her purse robbed while walking in the 2300 block of West Longview Road in Woodbridge around 4 p.m. Thursday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police said an unknown male attacked the woman from behind and snatched her purse. She was not injured in the attack, Hernandez said.
The robber was seen leaving in a blue, four-door sedan, Hernandez said.
The purse was located a short distance from where the attack occurred, according to police, and an unknown amount of cash had been stolen.
Woodbridge woman attacked, not injured
A 54-year-old Woodbridge woman was almost robbed of her purse while getting out of her vehicle in the 13400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge around 11:35 p.m. Saturday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The woman reported that she was pushed to the ground and her purse was snatched, Hernandez said.
But when the woman’s dogs began to bark, the attacker dropped the purse and ran from the scene, police said.
The woman was not injured during the attack.
