A 22-year-old Manassas-area man was taken into custody last night following a strong-arm robbery in the Coverstone neighborhood near Manassas, Prince William County police said.

Jessie Jermaine Patrick, of 7399 Gales Court, was charged with attempted robbery and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, said police spokeswoman Officer Erika Hernandez. He is scheduled to appear in court June 27.

Around 9:21 p.m., a man was walking to his apartment on Coverstone Drive when a man approached him and demanded money, police said.

According to police, the victim began running toward the stairwell of his building, but the would-be robber grabbed at his clothes, pulled him back and struck him several times.

Hernandez said it appears nothing was stolen from the victim. The investigation continues.

Common Sense you disgust me.  You are part of the reason why everyone in the state of Virginia thinks that Prince William County is racist.  Can you really sit there and tell me that there has NEVER been a crime caused by a “caucasian”.  You are just plain IGNORANT.  Take your racisim elsewhere.  I feel sorry for you because we are going to have a “non-caucasain” President.  Laugh then you bastard.  O and by the way...all blacks are not from Africa.

Is this another illegal?

Do we deport this guy back to Africa?  I’m sure many would like to because all crime is caused by non-caucasians.
