So the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has finally released its report stating what most of us have suspected for the last five years.

I read Pete Frisbie’s June 8 letter to the editor with a great deal of interest and curiosity. As the democratic chair, Mr. Frisbie professes to know a lot about Jeff Frederick’s election as chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.

Honoring a fallen officer
Last Friday, June 6, Fredericksburg Police Officer Todd Bahr was murdered while investigating a routine domestic disturbance call. He and several other officers were on foot searching for the male suspect when he was shot. Officer Bahr’s tragic death is a stark example of the daily risk that officers face in striving to keep their community safe.

Two articles were published recently about Washington, D.C., area congestion that have an interesting connection. The first concerns a study just published by FORBES magazine that ranks the D.C. area first in the nation for congestion, with over 28 percent of commuters spending more than 45 minutes on the road every day.

It was a sad day for America when Barack Obama was officially announced as the Democratic candidate to move on to the 2008 general election.

On June 3, Mr. Westhoff wrote a letter indicating Barack Obama is better suited for the presidency because he will use diplomacy and force to deal with our adversaries whereas John McCain will allegedly only use force.
Hypocrisy concerning Illegal immigration
You xenophobes complain about illegal aliens, emphasizing that they are breaking the law by being here, which is true. However, it is hypocritical to expect others to obey the law while it is certain that you all violate the law everyday.
