Action in Community Through Service will sponsor a fashion event on Wednesday called “Prince William PurSuits: Career Fashion Event to Benefit Low Income Men and Women Entering or Re-entering Workforce.”
Starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the atrium of the Ferlazzo Building, 15941 Donald Curtis Drive, Woodbridge, clients will receive makeup “makeovers” by a group of Mary Kay consultants and will be assisted by volunteers in choosing their career clothing and accessories.
The “gently used” business attire has been donated to low-income individuals, both men and women, entering or re-entering the workforce.
Ulta Cosmetics has donated several boxes of items for participants, and Debbie del Tejo of Moon Shadow Photography will take photos.
Refreshments will be served throughout the morning. At 2 p.m., a fashion show in the Auditorium will feature the “made over” clients.
Between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m., the public will be allowed to shop what is left after clients have what they need. Everything left at the end of the day will be donated to the ACTS Thrift Stores to support all ACTS programs.
