Man robbed while walking in Woodbridge

A 39-year-old Woodbridge man was robbed while walking in the 2300 block of West Longview Drive in Woodbridge around 10:10 p.m. Monday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.

According to police, a man approached the 39-year-old and began walking and talking with him.

About 100 yards later, the man grabbed the victim's arm, pointed a handgun at him and demanded he empty his pockets and hand over his wallet, Hernandez said.

The robber then ran toward Franklin Street with the victim's wallet, cash and personal documents, police said.

Masked man robs Gainesville grocery

A masked man robbed a Gainesville grocery store late Monday night, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.

Around 11:10 p.m. the robber entered the store in the 7500 block of Linton Hall Road, implied to store employees that he had a gun and ordered them into an office, Richardson said.

Police said the robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the store, according to police.

The three people inside the store at the time did not require medical treatment, police said.

Two robbed at gunpoint walking in Hoadly area

A 20-year-old Manassas man and a 17-year-old Dale City boy were robbed at gunpoint in the 12500 block of Purcell Road in the Hoadly area around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Prince William County police said.

According to police, the two were returning from a convenience store when a car pulled up behind them, two occupants got out and pointed handguns at them.

Police said the man and boy were robbed of a cell phone, a wallet and cash, valued $224.

One of the victim's was struck in the face with a gun, before the robbers fled in a white or silver-colored Volvo station wagon, Richardson said. The victim was treated at the scene.

Police said one of the robbers was described as a black man, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 210 pounds, with a heavy, muscular build, police said. He was wearing a white shirt with graffiti on the front, dark jeans and a flat-brimmed red, white and blue hat with stripes at the time of the incident.

The other robber was described as a black man, also between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6 feet 5 inches tall, 175 pounds with a thin build, police said. He was wearing a long-sleeved gray hoodie, blue jeans, tan boots and square glasses at the time of the incident.
