Chamber to host a scholarship luncheon in Woodbridge July 23

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a "Scholarship Luncheon' on July 23 at 11:40 p.m. at Cheesburger in Paradise, 14000 Foulger Square in Woodbridge.

The $30 donation lets members help outstanding students achieve their educational dreams and receive a "free lunch" courtesy of the restaurant.

Thanks to the generosity of the chamber members, last year the chamber was able to award 10 students a $1,300 scholarship to continue their education.

Other events planned for the chamber for the month include:

• Ribbon cutting at Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington Heiser Branch Friday at 9:30 a.m. at 27565 Old Stage Coach Road in Dumfries.

• Lunch Bunch at Macaroni Grill Friday at noon at 2641 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge. This is a no-agenda luncheon as members can enjoy networking and lunch out with chamber friends.

• Business Before Hours with Appian Realty Advisors at Catons Crossing Center on July 24 at 8 a.m. at 13580 Groupe Drive in Woodbridge.

• Speed Networking on July 29 at General Ridge's Golf Course in Manassas Park at 8 a.m. with group tee times available following the event.

The chamber is an organization of more than 1,200 businesses and community organizations working together to sustain a strong, supportive business environment and high quality of life that has made the county one of the top growth areas in the country.
