Celebrate fall at Octoberfest Golf Tourney

Prince William County Park Authority will hold an Octoberfest Golf Tournament at Generals Ridge Golf Course on Sunday.

The tournament will be a four-person team shamble format.  The cost will be $60 per golfer for the tournament.  This price includes golf cart, green fees, range practice balls, lunch after, three raffle tickets and

tournament prizes.

Remembrance ceremony set for Potomac Hospital

In honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, Potomac Hospital is holding a Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Hylton Education Center at Potomac Hospital.

Please join the group for speakers, poetry read by parents, music, commemoration and refreshments. All are wel-come, including children. Everyone who has experienced an infant and pregnancy loss, regardless of when or how the loss occurred, is invited to attend.

Project Mend-A-House will celebrate its annual dinner, A Taste of the Town, Prince William County Style on Wednesday at the VFW Post 1503,14631 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge.

A $25 donation allows you to sample some of the county's finest cuisine, listen to Trevocheí—an Andrews Sisters-style musical trio, win a chance for some great door prizes and support seniors, disabled and low-income residents of Prince William County and Manassas through Project Mend-A-House's free home repair and home modification program.

The Lake Ridge Lions Club are sponsoring a craft show on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Hillendale Fire Station - 9:00 to 3:00.
