WASHINGTON (AP) _ Prince William County’s illegal immigration crackdown appears to be spurring some families to send their children to schools elsewhere in northern Virginia.
According to the Prince William school system, enrollment in English as a Second Language classes dropped by 759 students from September through March.
During that same period, 623 ESOL students from Prince William enrolled in Fairfax County schools, compared with 241 in the same period the previous year. Eighty-three enrolled in Arlington County, 75 enrolled in the city of Alexandria and 23 signed up in Loudoun County.
Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart says the county expects to save $6 million in education costs because of the transfers.

CC,
My math is just fine. Your budget analysis is off. If the students leaving doesn’t alter the yearly budget. That is all I am going to say. Believe me or don’t believe me.
As for May Day, My entire life it has been a celebration of spring. I don’t look at the political aspect of it since I am not a Russian. I would probably be much more likely to view it as a Druid than a Russian.
I am curious, why do you always have to have enemies? Russians, workers, illegal alien apologists, esol students. Go look at spring. You will feel better. It is a shame to be so miserable.

May Day started as Merrymaking and happy day festival according to ancient origin. It has now deteriorated into a workers holiday which most workers don’t even celebrate. Schooled again blue doggette, 759X10000 =7.59 million in savings please go back and take basic math for philosophy has clouded your rational judgment. Chris Cummings

Back at ya, Red Guard! CC, why do you assume I am a communist?
I am not exactly sure what you mean by schooled. Yes, I am educated. And your point? My only point is, no money has been saved yet by any ESOL students leaving. Chris cannot prove otherwise.

Did you and the rest of the Communists, as well as illegals enjoy your Mayday celebration. Barf. Chris Cummings

CC, You sure aren’t answer the questions I ask. How about that boss? Does he approve of your blogging on his or her time?
You have missed the point. Is it a reading comprehension problem or what?

School budgets don’t operate like CC is suggesting. If almost 800 students left, you don’t realize the savings instantly. You still have teachers, salaries, services and materials that have been bought and paid for. Furthermore, all students aren’t coming out of the same building.
Several questions: what happens if other students come and take their place next year?
CC, don’t you home school? Why are you wasting so much time on this issue? Do you work? What does your boss say about your blogging on the job?
tsk tsk

chris,et.al, it’s good to see y’all keeping the good fight going. mhd3 seems to have disappeared.but to continue the argument with him/her what gated community does he/she live in that he can’t see the effects of the resolution? people who were illegally have left.and yes mhd3 i’m lazy in typing the stats but it’s not necessary when the stats are in the paper,on the internet(which you seem to comprehend),and on television.
