A funeral procession is expected to delay traffic along Dale Boulevard today from noon until 2 p.m.
The procession will honor fallen Dale City volunteer medic Cecilia Turnbough, 42, who died Nov. 9 during a training exercise.
She leaves behind a husband and three teenagers.
Turnbough will be honored at a public memorial service at the C.D. Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge at 11 a.m.
After the service a parade of emergency vehicles will tour Dale Boulevard west to Hoadly Road, then turn right and proceed to Prince William Parkway, until they return to the Hillendale fire station where Turnbough served more than eight years.
"Citizens should expect traffic delays…due to the procession," said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Vehicles in the procession will be escorted by marked police cruisers.
Fire officials are investigating Turnbough's mysterious death; however, investigators have said it looks as if it is medical related.
