A fire at 2:47 a.m. Monday caused an estimated $220,000 damage to a home at 1707 Iowa Court in Woodbridge, said Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department assistant fire Chief Jim McAllister.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find fire coming through the roof of the single-family home, McAllister said.

All of the occupants got safely out, McAllister said.

Firefighters battled the blaze from outside the house because the fire inside was too intense for them to enter, McAllister said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

The county building inspector condemned the structure due to the amount of damage, McAllister said.
