Former county resident dies in motorcycle accident

A 24-year-old Springfield man, formerly of Prince William County, was pronounced dead on scene after crashing his motorcycle head on into an embankment on Shenandoah Mountain, reported The Inter-Mountain newspaper.
According to the accident report, at 12:17 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. F.H. Barlow of the Franklin detachment of the West Virginia State
Police found the body of Brandon A. Bundy in the ditch on U.S. 33 east of Brandywine.
Bundy was a 2002 C.D. Hylton High School graduate.
Bundy had apparently crossed into the westbound lane, police said, where he lost control, ran off the roadway and struck the embankment.
Bundy was pronounced dead at the scene by the West Virginia University Medical Command, according to the report. He was wearing a helmet as well as other protective gear.
