A preliminary hearing for a man charged in connection with a 2007 homicide in Triangle has been continued to October.
Eryck Daron Julius, 29, of no fixed address, was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Prince William General District Court on Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder and use or display of a firearm in commission of a felony.
The hearing was continued to Oct. 15 after a witness didn't appear.
Julius is charged in connection with the July 2007 shooting death of 25-year-old Rahsaan Gregory "Rocky" Mack.
Mack was shot dead outside of a Linden Park Apartments building in the 18100 block of Kilmer Lane in Triangle shortly after 11:30 p.m. on July 2, police said at the time.
Police arrested Julius in June after receiving new information related to the murder while investigating an unrelated incident, police said at the time.
Julius was originally held without bond, but Thursday his bond was changed to a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
He is currently being held at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail on several unrelated charges.
