Good morning Prince William. I have a simple summer request from the wonderful folks at the BARN Transitional Housing on Linton Hall Road. They are in need of a certified lifeguard on Wednesday evenings through Labor Day weekend from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. while the kids have swimming lessons. I know so many of you spend the entire day in the sun but hopefully you have Wednesday off and can help this wonderful organization offer fun to the kids. Please call Becky today at 703-369-1325.
The Manassas Chapter of Families Anonymous is in need of a Spanish speaker to work with the meeting facilitator. These meetings are held just once a week for an hour or so. This program is a 12-step program for families experiencing problems with alcohol and drug abuse. This would be a fabulous way for you to sharpen your language skills so please call Pat at 703-928-9385 to be part of this wonderful program.
The wonderful folks at the Special Olympics have just announced their next volunteer orientation sessions and of course they are covering both sides of our community to make it really easy for you. Both sessions are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please come to find out about all the exciting volunteer opportunities for the upcoming sports programs. Please call 703-680-6661 or e-mail them at secretary @pwsova.org to sign up for either of these sessions.

I know I just mentioned this a week ago but it bears repeating! The Clock Tower Thrift Shop in Centreville really needs help. Please consider giving a few hours before you go back to school. This is a great job for teens age 16 and older. Volunteers are needed with sorting donations, designing new displays or helping customers. Please call Monica at 703-219-2193 to help this wonderful organization help others.
Also please don’t forget Securing Emergency Resources Through Volunteer Efforts Inc. needs volunteers to help with the back to school program for the next four weeks. This sounds like a fun time to me. Please call Jan at 703-367-6742 to get the specific times.
