Woodbridge man reports attack by duo

A 30-year-old Woodbridge man told police two teenage males between 17 and 19 attacked and robbed him after asking for a cigarette in the 4200 block of Evergreen Drive in Dale City around 10:50 p.m. Monday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.

Police said the man was punched after telling the two he didn't have any.

He was able to run away, Richardson said, but one of the assailants was able to steal his iPod, valued at $350.

Concert seat altercation leads to assault charge

A man accused of refusing to get out of a seat at Nissan Pavilion that he wasn't supposed to be in was charged with assault and battery, Prince William County police said.

Brock Edward MacKellar, 21, of 2580 Carrington Way in Frederick, Md., was removed from the concert in the 7800 block of Cellar Door Drive in Bristow around 10 p.m. Sunday after allegedly yelling and making threats to a staff member who was trying to get him to move to the seat that matched his ticket, said police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

That's when MacKellar apparently began to fight with the employee, a 28-year-old Haymarket man, police said.

MacKellar was released on his own recognizance, Richardson said, but a court date was not available.

Fredericksburg man faces theft charge

Rodney Jones, 39, of 987 Ramoth Church Road in Fredericksburg, was charged with grand larceny following an incident in the 14000 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge around 5 p.m. Tuesday, Prince William County police said.

Jones, who was found walking nearby and arrested, is accused of trying to leave a store without paying for power tools worth $808, said police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

Jones was confronted at the store entrance and left on foot without the merchandise, police said.

He was held in lieu of a $3,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Oct. 10.

Alexandria pair faces theft charges

Two Alexandria men were charged in connection with a theft from a Woodbridge business after police responded to a suspicious person call at the business in the 1000 block of Cannons Court around 6 p.m. Tuesday, said Prince William County police.

The victims reported that two men stole $4,000 worth of auto parts from vehicles that were there for repairs, said police spokeswoman Sharon Richardson.

Police said one of the arrestees was found asleep in a car and another was found hiding under a car, both on the business' property.

Victor Tyron Rhodes, 49, of 8101 Fordson Road, and Tempus Lamount McCay, 46, of 7961 Richmond Highway, were each charged with grand larceny and possession of burglary tools, Richardson said.

Rhodes was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and McCay was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond, police said. Each has a scheduled court date of Oct. 7.

Prince William woman faces theft charges

Amanda Lynn Cook, 21, of 7419 Garrison Road outside Manassas Park, and Heather Latricia Drone, 24, of 11959 Scott Circle in Bealeton, were each charged with grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny in connec-tion with a department store theft the afternoon of Aug. 15, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokes-woman.

The two are accused of stealing about $880 worth of merchandise from a store in the 11100 block of Bulloch Drive near Manassas around 3:40 p.m., Richardson said.

Cook and Drone were each held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Sept. 29.

County men face weapon charges

Prince William police arrested a 28-year-old Centreville man and a 32-year-old Manassas-area man on Sunday afternoon responding to a call of someone brandishing a weapon, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.

Tyrone Brian Thompson, 28, of 6919 Hovingham Court, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a concealed firearm; and Frank James Lashley Williams, 32, of 7401 Willoughby Lane, Apt. 202, was charged with possession of a concealed firearm after police investigated the incident in the 7800 block of Keara Court near Manassas around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Richardson said.

Williams was held in lieu of a $2,000 bond and Thompson was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Each has a scheduled court date of Sept. 26.
