A 70-year-old Manassas man died at an area hospital at about 7 p.m. Sunday after an accident near Nokesville and Chapel Springs roads, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Richard Gregory Pons, of 9451 Raith Court in Bristow, was driving south on Nokesville Road in a 2007 Toyota Camry at about 1:15 p.m., when he drifted across the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic an collided head-on with an Acura, MDX, Hernandez said.
Pons was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, Hernandez said.
The 68-year-old woman who was driving the Acura was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Hernandez said.
