The body of a 42-year-old Manassas man was found Tuesday morning in the Shenandoah National Park, ending an 11-day search, according to the National Park Service.
The family of Jose Alfonso Martins Jr. had reported him missing on March 27, a day after he left home. His body was found in the Keyser Run area of the park's northern district, authorities said.
The cause of his death is under investigation.
A business card belonging to Martins had been discovered near his vehicle, which a park ranger found Saturday morning.
The search on the ground and by helicopter involved more than 200 park employees and trained volunteers, park officials said.
