The suspect in the slaying of a 24-year-old Woodbridge man last month was booked yesterday night on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to Prince William-Manassas regional jail.
Ronald Gerald Kendall, 20, is being held without bond at the jail pending a Dec. 15 court date.
Kendall is accused of shooting Robert Phillipps Jr. to death outside a party in the 1200 block of Bayside Avenue, just a street down from where Phillipps lived with his mother, on the night of Sept. 16, according to police.

No death sentence if Judge William D. Hamblen gets hold of him. Hamblem will probably let him out in 6 months.
