MANASSAS—Prince William County may have a single solution to two problems: The large number of county employees who can’t afford to live there, and the large number of unoccupied homes on the market.

The county has the highest number of foreclosures of any Virginia jurisdiction.

Under the proposal expected to presented tomorrow to county supervisors, the county government would invest up to $25 million in certificates of deposit at a bank. The proceeds would be used to offer mortgages primarily to entry-level police and firefighters.

The employees could buy foreclosed homes or others on the market.

PWC, going socialist, needs to operate “company stores” or commissaries for its employees too. It is just not right for them to have spend salary on high priced groceries.  The people on food stamps get $3 per person per day to eat on, and min imum wage folks have bargain basement stores where they live exotically, likembread for 10 cents, milk 25, etc.  It isn’t fair that teachers, firefighters, and police should hae to suffer. It is difficult for the police to check documents of illegals on an empty stomach. These company stores could get revenue to operate from money saved by the resolution and Rule of Law. Now that the illegals have been run out of PWC (allegedly), and now having stopped sucking the economic life out of PWC (just ask an anti person), it is now time for the Stewart BOCS crowd to suck the life out of the county for its employees. The county employees might pool their wages and buy one of those foreclosed houses that allegedly housed 20-30 Hispanics.  Could turn it into a modern “police barracks”.

Why Fire and Police?  Why not Teachers or for that matter any County employee through a lottery?

Is this why the County raised my taxes to provide housing assistance to County employees?

I live in PWC because I could not afford to live in Fairfax County where I was a govt employee, so what.

Have you ever seen the overtime the cops get!  They charge $35 an hour plus gas to patrol my neighborhood.

PWC HAS THE OPTION OF PAYING ITS EMPLOYEES MORE Ask the anti-illegal crowd.  They are willing to have taxes raised, and to hear them tell it,the county is loaded with excess (saved) money since THE RESOLUTION IS ALLEGEDLY WORKING AND THE ILLEGALS HAVE BEEN RUN OFF.

Why did they leave WV< NC< and DC for PWC? Should have checked the housing market. 12 in a house?  Seems like that proves unaffordable houSing, not something that would drive up prices.

So PWC is thinking about going socialist - or is it back to comoany stores and houses? There are lots of PWC families who don’t work for the county who need affordable housing. We don’t need more of PWC housing maneuvers. I guess like the resolutionon illegals, the PWC govt is going to do a housing bailout since the feds don’t seem to be making progress (if progress is even needed).
