Prince William police have released surveillance photos of the man they say robbed a Wachovia Bank yesterday afternoon on Dale Boulevard.

Police do not have a name for the suspect, but he is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 55-60-years-old, about 160 pounds, wearing a green raincoat.

Around 3:45 p.m. police said the man entered the banking center at 2976 Dale Boulevard and presented a note demanding money. He then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police focused their search on a homeless camp behind Ashdale Plaza, near the bank. With support from a Fairfax police helicopter, police with K-9 units searched tents, underground tunnels and underneath bridges for the suspect. He is still at large.

With picture of that size and quality no wonder criminals get away with crimes. There is room for improvement when it comes to preventing crime - there is way better video and surveillance equipment in our times and someone should take that matter seriously.
