Police charge Maryland man with car theft
Prince William police arrested Santos Mejicanos Gomez, 28, of 827 Rettem St., Hyattsville, Md., for possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property after they said they found him in possession of a 1997 Honda Civic that was reported stolen in Maryland, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police were responding to a call for a suspicious vehicle in the 3600 block of Del Mar Drive in Dale City at 11 a.m. Monday when they said they found Gomez in possession of the car and a backpack containing gloves and screw-drivers, hernandez said.
Gomez was held without bond. The court date was not available
Manassas man charged with malicious wounding
Prince William police charged Wallace Lorenzo Clyburn, 30, of 7496 Prince Charles Court in Manassas, with malicious wounding after they said he stabbed an acquaintance in the chest during an argument at about midnight Wednesday in the 13400 block of Greenacre Drive in Woodbridge, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The 23-year-old stabbing victim was treated at a local hospital.
Clyburn was held without bond and has a court date of Nov. 12, Hernandez said.
Alexandria man attacked in Gainesville parking lot
A 44-year-old Alexandria man was assaulted in the parking lot of a department store located in the 13300 block of Gateway Center Drive in Gainesville at about 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The man told police that two men approached him and demanded his wallet and when he refused one of the men punched him in the face, Hernandez said.
The victim told police that the two men who attacked him were 20 to 25 years old. One was black and approximately 6 feet tall, of medium build and wore a black shirt. The second of the attackers was Hispanic, of medium build and wore a gray shirt.
The Alexandria man was not injured in the attack, Hernandez said.
Good Samaritan taken for $2,000 after giving ride
A 45-year-old Woodbridge woman told police that she was robbed of $2,000 after she gave to two strangers a ride at about a ride 4 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Erika Hernandez, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The woman told police that a man and a woman approached her asked for a ride as she came out of a bank in the 13300 block of Occoquan Road in Woodbridge.
Once she had the two people in her car, the victim agreed to take them to a convenience store. She also agreed to go inside the store and buy some water for the woman, Hernandez said.
When she returned to her car, the suspects were gone along with money she had left in her car, Hernandez said.
The female suspect was approximately 5 feet 1 inches tall, of medium build, and was wearing a white shirt, blue pants and a dark colored hat, Hernandez said.
The male suspect was approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, of medium build, and was wearing a white shirt, tan pants, a dark colored hat and was clean shaven, Hernandez said.

YEAH I HAVE TO AGREE…AND WHY COULDN’T THE MAN WITH THE WOMAN GET HER SOME WATER….THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST FLAG…DUH

Good Samaritan,
Let me see now, I go to the bank and as I am walking to my car carrying $2,000 I stop and talk to strangers, DUH!
Then with $2,000 in cash I offer them a ride, DUH!
Then I get out of the car leaving my $2,000 sitting in the car with these two complete strangers, DUH!
